Definition
Amiodarone is a drug that affects the rhythm antiartimik heartbeat.
Amiodarone is used to help keep the heart beating normally in people with heart rhythm disturbances ventricles. Amiodarone is used to treat ventricular tachycardia or ventricular fibrillation.

Amiodarone is used only in life-threatening condition. These drugs potentially cause side effects that can be fatal.
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to amiodarone or iodine, or if you have certain heart conditions such as AV block or have had your heart rate slows down. Do not use this medication without telling your doctor if you are pregnant. These drugs can be harmful to the fetus. Use effective birth control, and tell your doctor if you become pregnant during treatment.
You may experience side effects even after you stop taking this medicine. This will happen for a few months until the drug is completely clean from your body.

• Loss of weight loss, thinning hair, feeling hot or cold, irregular menstrual periods, swelling in the neck
• Numbness, burning, pain or tingling in the hands and feet
• Nausea, abdominal pain, mild fever, loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-like dirt, yellowing of skin and eyes

• Dizziness or fatigue
• Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, constipation, loss of appetite
• Difficulty sleeping
• Weak
• Warm, tingling, or redness under the skin
