Important Information
Do not use this medication if you are allergic to amitriptyline, or if you have had a previous heart attack. Do not use amitriptyline if you sedangan using cisapride (Propulsid) or MAO inhibitors such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), phenelzine (Nardil), rasagiline (Azilect), selegiline (Eldepryl, Emsam), or tranylcypromine (Parnate) within 14 days.
Call your doctor if you have new symptoms or worsening of symptoms such as: mood changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you feel very impulsive, irritable, aggressive, hyperactive (mentally or physically), more depressed severe or want to commit suicide or hurting yourself.
Side Effects
Call emergency medical help if you have any signs of an allergic reaction is:
• Hives or itching with rash
• Difficulty breathing
• Swelling of the face, lips, tongue or throat
Call your doctor if you have new symptoms or worsening of symptoms such as: mood changes, anxiety, panic attacks, trouble sleeping, or if you feel very impulsive, irritable, aggressive, hyperactive (mentally or physically), depression more severe or want to commit suicide or hurting yourself.
Call your doctor if you have the following serious side effects:
• Rapid heart rate, irregular or pounding, chest pain or heavy, pain spreading to the arm and shoulder, nausea, sweating, malaise
• Numbness or weakness of a sudden, especially in one part of the body
• Headache sudden, problems with vision, speaking, or balance.
• Hallucinating, hovering, head feels light, faint
• The movement of the eyes, tongue, jaw, or neck or uncontrollable shaking
• Skin rash, severe tingling, numbness, pain, muscle weakness
• Easy bruising or bleeding
• Thirst was with dizziness, nausea, vomiting and weakness
• less urine than usual
Other side effects:
• Nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, loss of appetite
• Dry mouth, discomfort in the mouth
• Dizziness, drowsiness or fatigue
• Difficulty concentrating
• Nightmares
• Views blur, headaches, ear buzzing
• Breast pain in women
• Decreased sexual ability, impotence or difficult orgasm
Symptoms of the above side effects may appear incomplete and other symptoms
