Regarding about dialysis
Dialysis (Dialysis) is a process that is performed to replace kidney task when it can no longer function properly. Kidney is a vital organ of our body that serves to filter and remove the remains of metabolism and excess fluid, balancing chemicals in the body and maintain blood pressure. Procedure Wash the blood usually do when kidney damage has reached 85-90 percent (Terminal Renal Failure)
In principle, the process of dialysis, blood is drained out of the body and filtered. Then the blood that has been filtered flowed back into the body. Dialysis consists of two kinds, namely hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
1. hemodialysis
In hemodialysis, the filtering process performed by a dialysis machine called the dialysis membrane. This type of dialysis is mostly done in Indonesia.
2. peritoneal dialysis
In peritoneal dialysis, blood is filtered using a patient's own body tissue in the abdomen (stomach). Dialysis is usually done 2-3 times each week for 4-5 hours each time process.
Keep in mind that the dialysis process is done only to replace kidney function and not a cure. Therefore, dialysis should be done regularly to avoid unwanted effects due to accumulation of rest and fluids in the body metabolism. Process Wash the blood should be done over a lifetime, unless the patient perform kidney transplants.
Terminal Renal Failure Patients also need to manage your diet and drink to the success of the dialysis therapy. With positive thinking and perform therapy seriously and follow all your doctor's instructions, it is not likely permanent kidney failure patients can lead a normal life.
